I'd really like a specific board for 4v motors. I love posting with the 96-98 guys (and sometimes 99-04) but there is sometimes a vast difference between the two and it's hard to get specific help on the issue.

Needs a snake forum. Count me and my 96 in.

If we setup a 4v forum then wouldn't we need a 3v and 2v forum? Then what happens to the 96-98, 99-04, and 05+ sections?

I would think that the mod section in general would cover the 2/3/ v forums.

4v is a different monster.
It does have a lot of differences to the other three types of motors
in general.

I think it's a good idea to have as many people can't answer most 4v specific tech questions and having one in fact might bring a new light to people on other forums to join here.
I am sure some of the 4v guys here wouldn't mind recruiting some other 4v guys to the site if a 4v sub forum was to be put in place.

to me a mach 1 is basically a cobra with another name, and even if it was called the svt thread all machs should be welcome

Joe, we already basically have two 2V section and a 3V section. It would hard to classify the 4V's as a year model due to the long span of 4V build dates. Just as I said in another thread, these 2V' 3V's and 4v's are all very different animals. Maybe the newbs wouldn't know where to go with their 4v posts, but I see that as a positive- that way, atleast the 4V section wouldn't get spammed with the constant newb gear, cai, and wheel questions.

Well if you think about it since we already have the 96-98 forum(2v non-pi), the 99-04 forum (2v pi ), and the 05+ forum (3v), It's feesable to have a 4v specific forums even if the 4v falls under 96-07.

I think it's a good Idea.
you can add me to that petition list .
