Well, I put this in here because I figured that people who should read it will read it. For starters what I say is strictly an opinionated statement. It's not to be misconstrued, or meant to be disrespect any of you gentlemen. You guys do a wonderful job.

I think that The Burnout Box, should be regulated more thoroughly. It's out of control, and it's not by everyone. It's just a few bad apples that are ruining it for everyone. I would just hate to see everyone have to suffer because of a few immature members who apparently have no respect for other members, as well as the mods/admins. It's damn near a fulltime job just moderating that forum. I know that all of you guys have been trying to keep the peace, while trying to not step on anyone's toes. I honestly have to give you guys props, it's probably not easy.

I read the poll in there and I thought about possibly regulating by a point system. Like the infraction that you guys issue, you would issue them a point. A point is issued for breaking the rules in the burnout box, not for any other area of the forum. 3points and your rights from the burnout box are taken away until The mods have agreed that you are mature enough to conduct yourself in there like an adult.

While I myself am far from an angel. At times I have not conducted myself in the ways that a 22yr old man should, but this will give members a chance to learn from there mistakes without losing their access to the tech related threads. Not only that, but you can ban someone from the The Burnout Section for as long as you feel necessary. I'm just tossing up the idea, thank you for your time for those who read this. Please toss this issue around, as most of you are my friends, I'm just trying to help out in anyway that I can.

Jake, give us some time brother. We're working on it. And don't feel bad about putting your input out here. We listen to everyone and consider different opinions. After all, it was a member who put forth the original idea.

I assure you that behind the scenes we are constantly talking about it and coming up with ideas.

The box is barely a week old. We had agreed as mods to give a grace period until everyone became acclimated to the rules in there.

As you may have noted by the new sticky in there, that grace period is now over.

We will be doing our best to monitor what goes on in there. A new place is bound to have some growing pains. And I assure you we are watching what is going on and discussing it.

I am concerned about one thing: thread titles in the Underground and Burnout Box.

Now, I am not in the least offended by language. However, if such language is to be contained to those parts of the forum, allowing it in thread titles allows it to be seen in the Clubhouse, and even at the main forum levels when it's the most recently updated thread in those areas.

I'd hate for someone who actually *is* offended by such things to freak out about it when it happens, and with the BBox, it's been happening much more frequently.

i agree. For non members or prospective members browsing through the threads, they could get the wrong idea about MM if they see lots of cursing in thread titles. I know they cant get in any thread that is in the underground if they arent members, but they can still see the thread titles, I believe.

Well then on that we disagree. This is an automotive forum. Pictures of girls in an avi, are to me akin to guys putting up pictures of girls in their garage. This isn't a morality forum.

You are of course entitled to your personal beliefs, and I respect that. But it's not a big deal to me.

And the correlation to a picture of a girl in a bikini and a string of curse words in a thread title that may be found by every random googler searcher doesn't work, in my opinion.

this makes me believe that you don't understand the system that is in place on this forum. You must be a member to even know that those certain parts of this forum exist. Try logging out for once, since you have signed up, and view the threads and child forums of this site before assuming that no matter what, everything is as you see it.

For the comment based on profanity in signatures, this should be better contained, but not in a tatle tale way. If you find someones signature to be inappropriate please, grow a pair and contact them stating that you feel it is inappropriate. If nothing is done, report one of there posts labeling the misconduct and it will be taken care of.
