Burnout box Rep

IDk if this is possible, but I think making the rep function not usable in the burnout box a good idea. The point of rep is to see how helpful someone is, and rep in the burnout box just seems to be used to hurt someones reputation and has no ties to their technical knowledge.

Just a suggestion

i dont think this would work, due to that fact if i wanted to rep you in the BB but couldnt, i would just find one of your post somewhere else and neg rep that one

yeah but most people are to lazy to go through all that, i just see rep as a judge of knowledge more than a judge of character. I mean some guy could be a complete ass in the clubhouse but if he gives helpful advice in the tech sections then thats where is rep should be from

if someone is wanting to rep you, they will.
if they want it to count more, they will rep a tech post as well.
the rep system is inflated to all hell, anyhow.

if you are afraid of rep from the clubhouse/BBox, don't post there.

we can't control all the bad sheep that use the system that way. every system has its flaws...

The whole "rep" idea in general has been abused, in my humbled opinion. Repping someone for nominating their ride in the ROTM? That's not technical assistance. I don't think it should be functional in the General Forums. But that's just me. Just feels like yet another popularity contest, of which my cares are little, so to each their own.
