Car Cover Opinions

Hi guys and gals! I am excited to tell you that I am now in the market for a car cover! Why, you may ask? I just got finished cleaning yet another couple of eggs off of my car. Oh, yeah, the wind chill is -28. This is the third time since early December and the only reason it hasn't been more, I believe, is because of winter break. I was going to get one eventually anyway, but now I feel like I should do it sooner. I would like input from anybody and everybody on which car cover to go with. Most of the time I'll be in the Springfield, IL region or the St. Louis area, so I'll have to deal with the Midwest weather.

P.S. Does anybody have a firearm that I could borrow? I'll clean it and get it back to you asap.

I guess so. I know of two or three people that would hate me enough to do it, and they are all within 5 miles. Personally, I have never been able to vandalize a car in any fashion. I just love them too much. I will be camping out for at least a week, waiting for the dumbass(es) to do it again. Who knew college kids could be so immature?

Oh, wait...

I have this one and it works well.

CoverCraft Deluxe Custom-Fit Mustang Car Cover (99-04) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

Go get yourself a paintball gun. When they come past to egg your car again just unload on them. They'll get the point then. You can't borrow my guns, but you can borrow my ghillie suit.

Any idea on how they stand up against eggs? Hopefully, not, but if they do, $22 sounds better than $170.

i had one of those car covers from walmart and it works well but if any dirt or anything abbrasive gets under the cover and the wind starts blowing your nice little car cover is going to become a big piece of sandpaper! I went online and got a NOAH car cover that was a good amount of money but is fitted with the window pockets and when it stormed outside and the next day i pulled it off just a little bit of moisture was left. Kind of looked like condensation on a couple spots when it is a hot munid night then the cool morning air hits.

If your going to camp out to watch the car. You should also report the vandalism to the local police department. Then if they do manage to come around sit tight take pics and get a license plate number and/or practice your rights to citizens arrest. Then file some lawsuits and you can make some quick money to fund your modding addiction.

I found some decent ones from empire. This cover was a replacement cover for a custom cover that cost three times as much and started leaking water and collecting dust under the cover in less than a year. My Empire cover is 4 months old, has survived numerous strong thunderstorms and seering Texas sun, and so far is exceeding my expectations. I have 3 cars under cover, soon the other two will be covered by Empire.
