Claybar, Polish, and Wax. (need advice)

I washed my car yesterday and want to clay and wax it today, but in another thread I made awhile back everyone suggested polishing after claybaring.

So, my question is, what products should I get? For the clay, the polish, and the wax that is?

And just so I'm clear, is this the correct order?

Wash, dry, clay, polish, wax, wash, dry.

Any advice is welcome, especially on the products.

Are you going to be using a machine? Or by hand?

Then you won't get very far by polishing except maybe a little more shine but you won't be removing swirls or anything of the sort.

So the polish isn't worth it. But still, what brands should I use?

I didn't say it isn't worth it, it will help, but probably not to the effect that you are thinking it will. IMO, without a machine, then skip the polish.

Brands are all personal preference, do you plan on buying OTC or ordering?

I'm moving this to the detail section btw.

Then I would go with Meg's NXT 2.0.

If you ever decide to order online check out the Pinnacle Line-up, Natty's line-up, and Adam's makes some very respectable stuff that I am currently using, and you get a discount with Adam's.

I have only used Meg's clay bar once, and that because I didn't have time to wait on the order to get shipped to me, but its decent, I have to say, Adam's makes the absolute best clay bar IMO.

I agree with skipping the polish if your not going to use a machine. I would put a sealer on it before I wax. I like wizards sealent(shine master), that's what I use on my car, and I have put it on everything I have painted before it goes back to the customer.

and my favorite clay bar is the blue clay magic bar. I used meguirs once and I didn't like it at all. I had to work twice as hard with it, so I ended up just getting another clay magic bar and trashed the meguirs.

I can't recommend a wax cuase honestly I haven't waxed my car since I started using the wizards sealent, I just put one or two coats of it after every wash and I've never really felt the need to wax it after that.
