Read up. It's the best method I've heard of and the F1 stuff doesn't leave a sticky residue at all.

I normally hose it down with a gentle stream out of my hose, spray on foaming simple green and let it sit a while. then i have this weird thing called a "rubba-Scrubba" bought from theflylady.com that I use to scrub down dirtyier areas. once again rinse with the hose and allow to air dry. I think the stuff I use for shine is f21. its in a brght green and black spray can. I use the foamy stuff, spray on all plastics and rubber and close the hood but not to full latch and let the foam evaporate. then with a rag with a little more f21 sprayed on I wipe down everyting.

Basically just like the above link said. I just diddnt want to mentions running the motor since last time I said that I got flamed because people thought the steam would mess up the electronics...

Now this is probably not good enough for a show, but it works good for me and my daily use of my car. That and i do this about every weekend. I wash my car for therapy...

What I like to do is crank the motor and let it run just enough to get warm, then spray everything down with diluted purple power and close the hood. I'll come back about 5 minutes later and scrub everything down, then I'll spray everything with WD-40 and wipe off the excess.

It always turns out perfect.

THIS I am doing tomorrow. Thanks! I had never thought about using the Purple power anywhere on my car but it makes sense.

I knew there was a good reason I bought the 3 gallon jug of the stuff. lol.
