go to meguiars website and join their forums. there's alot of information on there that'll help you with that. you'll probably want to do it yourself cuz you get better results for a fraction of the cost. its really not hard at all. if you have a harborfreight around you can get a cheap dual action buffer for under 40. just dont buy one of those small round ones, they wont do shit.

We Are Car Care -- Car Wax, Car Polish, Auto Detailing Supplies, Car Buffers & Car Accessories Store is where I learned ALOT of my stuff. Weems is also very knowledgeable.

It depends on how severe the swirls are. I was able to get by by using a Porter Cable 7424 Buffer with the Pinnacle XMT Swirl Removers going from the #3 with an orange pad to #2 with an orange pad to #1 with a white pad and following it up with the XMT Carnauba Glaze on a gray pad. Then putting some Poorboy's EX-P Sealant with a blue pad and a coat of Natty's Blue by hand and then buffing the wax off with a microfiber bonnet that was over a lambswool leveling pad on the buffer.

Everything on the car turned out fantastic except the spoiler and I plan on redoing the spoiler soon. I've just been burnt out on it with that way the heat has been lately.

Even with all those products, you may have to make several passes on the bad spots with the #3.

damn that seems like alot of work lol

i have never buffed before i usually do it by hand with some wax. comes out good but your hand gets tired and forearm. i have a buffer and am going to try it out next time its nice out. its been raining for a week here and the forecast shows rain for the next week also.

how long would you estimate using a buffer for a good wax? has to be faster and less work than by hand i would assume.

Well it depends. Altogether, because I took my time, it took me about 13 hours for paint and interior. It's alot of work even with a buffer man. Your back really takes a beating, but in alot of ways it's worth it.

Just doing a wash and wax doesn't take any time at all, but if you're going to be polishing and do paint correction you better have an entire weekend set aside.

dude, if you dont know what you are doing, dont try to buffout your mustang!!! buffing/polishing/waxing a car is easy but if you are completley new to it, you will either make more wheel marks or burn your paint. try it first on some other car. it is actually really easy, but it is also easy to burn the paint or add more wheel marks.

a cheap and easy way to hide the wheel marks is polish the car then wax it. you shouldnt see any wheel marks then, until after a couple washes then you just rinse and repeat.

With a PC7424 he will not harm his paint at all.

Through personal experice I recommend the Pinnacle XMT Series Polishes. I've been wanting to try the Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0 or some Menzerna polishes.

The XMT is a very easy to use series.

Just make sure you do your share of research.
