Degreased amd ready to roll
Used 06 gt auto stock was ok, nothing special. Tune and cai better but still just ok, but added some lagg and didnt perform well in heat above 75 degrees.
For kicks I decided to go to the spray n wash and degrease the engine, which wasnt that dirty to begin with. I let it soak and rinsed. The performance gains I got from this was rediculous. I now feel like I have a true muscle car. No more heat soak or late shifting. Engine temp guage is about a fraction of a mm lower. Truly day and night! |

Well I just read on google answers that cleaning the debris off of the engine allows it to cool correctly. That sounds somewhat logical.....

It might help but logically it shouldn't make a night and day difference, unless you have an uber sensitive butt.

I am not saying its any faster or more powerful, its just way more consistent, shifting , acceleration, engine note, ect..

How did it affect the shifting, acceleration, and engine note?
I could understand if you had a really dirty air filter, but you didn't say anything about cleaning that so I'm going to assume you are completely stock. I'm not saying your claims are false, I'm still just a lil skeptical that's all. |
