sap on entire car

yeah so i get off work and notice these tiny dots all on my windshield and i didnt even think anything of it because most of it came away when i turned the wipers on...so i am in some light later and i notice my whole car is covered with sap...very small dots over my entire car...my finish literally feels like sandpaper...whats the easiest and safest way to go about removing all of this? ive heard of shit like using lard or grease or even mayonnaise to remove it ..should i do something like this or use a product? i have used the turtle wax bug and tar remover before for sap spots but this is literally my enitre car..thanks

soap and a soft brush, start in an area that is not obvious just to see the affect, then wash the entire car if its washing off.

don't use a brush, that'll scratch the hell out of the paint. you can try a claybar first. if that doesn't work, try a small spot with some kerosene. it'll probably take it off, but do a test spot first. it shouldn't mess up the paint, and should remove the sap. you'll have to rewax obviously.

If you have a good coat of wax on there you should just be able to wash it off depending on how thick the sap is. I parked by a tree last week and the car was covered in sap to. I washed it with one microfiber sponge....got it extra soapy....rinsed ...washed again with a new clean microfiber sponge it all the sap was gone.

that was gonna be my recomendation lol, when i bought my bmw the entire car had been parked under a tree for almost 4 months, the guy washed it but didnt get half it off. i went to a self serve pressure washer place and got the majority of it off real quick, then claybared it to get the rest off. go get a maguiars claybar and some wax and you'll be set.

Depending on how bad, you can use Isopropyl Alcohol. I have a shit ton of trees at my house and this is a very common problem for me. I always use IPA. You'll need to wash the car afterwards and rewax the treated area.

If the IPA doesn't get it, try a claybar.

I get that at my office frequently. As long as you run it through a touchless or use the pressure washer on it ASAP you will get 99% of it off. The longer you leave it on, the harder it is to get off....

this has happened to me severely when i park my car in my drive way i have a big ass live oak tree that releases so much fucking sap the rocks in my landscaping shine from that shit i told my pops im going to cut that fucking tree down. anyways the way ui would get it off is first id attach my nozzel to the hose and spray the entire car down for like 5 mins and feel paint to see if it was almost gone then id wash the car with eagle 1 carwash / wax this would help the shit not stick as much than it would regularly but a good claying and wax should help you out

It'll take it off along with marring the paint finish.

I've got some serious sap spots on the hood of my black Subaru right now.

They are the size of dimes. Got the globs off but am left with rings. Washed several times. I will try the claybar next.
