$40 and it's a done deal. I'm running real low on my #3 polish and to do it, I may need to get a new bottle.

I will actually have 2 sets for you to refinish if you can do them for $30...

$30 for both?? No way homie. Sorry, I work for cheap but not that cheap. I understand that I could get away with reusing the same sandpaper, but why half ass it? The polishes that I use are not 'cheap' either. $16 a bottle adds up fast... And besides, there has to be some means of a profit margin. Work with me here. I could see doing one set for $30, but no lower. Remember also that I have to buy clearcoat ($7), sandpaper ($12), and now a new bottle of #3 polish ($16) , as well as a new orange pad ($8). My taillight fiasco ruined one of my orange pads... That in itself is what, $42? If I did 2 sets I'd only make $18 profit with working a total of probably 6-8 hours. $3-2 an hour doesn't seem appealing if you ask me...

I had to get mine polished in a hurry because I forgot I had an appointment to get 3M rock guard applied to the hood and headlights tomorrow. It was too late to go find clearcoat so I tried to polish the plastic the best I could.

3K grit wetsanding removed the chips in about 5 minutes. It took another 5-10 minutes with my PC7424XP and my finest XMT polish to get it looking damn nice. I can still see fine sanding scratches if I really look in the right light, but I'm amazed at what little was left with just the 3K sandpaper and finest polish.

I think they're great, but I don't have much to compare them to yet. Previously all my polishing was done painstakingly by hand with Turtle Wax polishing compound and an old T-shirt. Hoping to try out some other stuff when the XMT runs out.
