Johnsons?
I met a guy the other day who reccomended I use Johnsons Baby Oil to cure scratches temporarily before shows, and Johnsons Baby Soap to remove tar and bugs.
Any truth to this? |

Wow, what people come up with now...
The only way to fix scratches is to either buff them out or repaint the area (if it's bad enough) If you want a way to make your car look "just waxed" before a car show, go spend $10 on Meguire's Ultimate Quick Detailer (in the black bottle) and apply with a microfiber cloth. Use something that is DESIGNED for the right purpose. |

People who do not use DETAILING PRODUCTS to detail cars shouldn't be trusted. The only stuff that I would ever touch on my paint is Isopropyl Alcohol that is not a true detailing product and that is only to inspect your work for the use of fillers. Simple Green and degreasers for the tires and under hood obviously, but were talking about paint... |
