First wash

Picked up my car on sat. Needed some TLC for sure(been stored all winter) but it was well taken care of.

I washed it on Wed and clay bar'd it on thurs. What a difference!

I'm gonna have to get me a good buffer and some polish to really make it POP!

I had no idea that a clay bar would make the finish so smooooth!

I'm liking this forum for the detailing info.

I clay barred my car for the first time last week and I was amazed too with how much of an effect it had.

Hopefully, but not likely.

Got in my first wash of the Spring today. Fucker needs a really good clay barring. I can't decide if I really want to go through the effort or just give it a few months until it gets fresh paint.

hehe, I use to think clay baring was an effort... Then I started polishing.

Wait till you move on to a rotary. It makes it much more fun. Your forearms no longer ache and you can actually move your fingers afterwards. That's why I love mine so much.

Yep! then drove it to work and had to drive home in the rain/snow and it's frikken filthy again.

I will redo the wash when I get a day off - next sat maybe.

I'm looking at a buffer/polisher but got to get a few things on the car squared away first.

Washed it again today and started on the engine bay and trunk lip. Lots of built up dirt in there. Looking pretty good but still needs more TLC. Will pull the wheels off next weekend and clean them up real good.
