The paint under the wing...

Ok, I took my wing off and I have these outlines. I scrubbed them with soap and they looked to be gone. When I dried the car, I have an outline of where the wing was. Its a lighter color than the paint. If i licked my finger and ran it across it, it would dissappear, but only until it dried. Is this where the clear coat is worn off or something? Do I need to get it painted? Is there a certain product that will make this an easy, cheap fix?

You could try buying some swirl remover from the parts store and applying it by hand using a foam applicator. A Claybar might get it also.

Hard to tell without seein it. Can you feel any changes in the paint with your fingernail going across it?

Probably glue residues. I loosened mine up with Goo Gone. Test it in an inconsicuous area. While it worked fine ony my paint, I'm not going to sit here and be the one to point blame at if it does mess it up...

Loosen it with Goo Gone. Let it dwel on it for a minute or two. Then come back with a claybar.

I know on mine I could not get it off with anything... However I did not even know about a claybar at that time.

A clay bar does?

I'm not saying your wrong but it isn't above the paint like a glue would be. Umm, lets see, lets say you got some glue and ran it down your car. If you rubbed your hand across it, it would have a bump or something. Mine, there isn't, it is completely level with the paint.

sounds like you have light scratches on your clear. Try swirl remover first. its wont mess anything up if it doesnt fix it. But it will most likely fix it.

Put your spoiler back on and forget about it?

But, like said, all New Edges will have that. Its probably a cluster fuck combo of water etching, the spoiler rubbing against the paint, dirty shit, and perhaps adhesive from the spoiler.

I'd try swirl remover also.

Aren't you in El Paso? If you're really concerned about it, look up Dannyboy. He's in El Paso, and if it can be removed, he can do it.
