Guess I need a new car wash?

So they have discontinued the MrClean Auto Dry car wash .. I need a new route..

I recently got the Maguires Gold, but wasn't that impressed.. it spotted all over the glass, even with me drying.. so wondering who uses what, and anything to stay away from.. ?

Never used the Autodry. I always use the Mequairs Gold Class. LOL. Never had a spotting problem.

It's spotting because you're doing it wrong. Gold Class is by far the best OTC car wash I have ever used.

its not the soap of the mr clean setup that keeps it from spotting, its the filters in the unit that soften the water. Did you try other soaps in the mr clean setup?

That was a thought, but since they discont'd the whole thing I won't have filters either.. I figured I could buy a bunch of filters from ebay or something to hold me over.. but at some point I need to move on..

I could always modify a PUR facet filter to the water hose :LMAO!

Just go to Home Depot or Lowes and install a sediment filter on your hose. I'll post pictures of my set-up in a couple hours.

Here you go.. It uses a two way splitter so that way I can use the filter for washing the car and than bypass it for all of the other stuff. I've got a quick disconnect on the filter and the other end so I can switch out the hose easily. The filters are about $11 for two and they last approximately three months. Another tip, don't use the wrenches that come with the filters to install the canister. Just put them on hand tight.

I just re-did it a few days ago. The bracket didn't hold on the wall good so I decided not to play with it and used some Tapcons with washers. It's not going any where!! I also decided to move it down a little bit from my previous location to make the hose straighter. I need to patch the other holes and paint the previous patches. I don't know what's with the other patches, it's been like that since the house was built. Builder just said I don't know.. LOL
