Review: DoDo Juice Basics of Bling Detail Spray

DoDo Juice Basics of Bling Detail Spray

Image provided by: Auto Geek

Description:

Dodo Juice Basics of Bling Detailing Spray is a versatile, all-around quick detailer, waterless wash, and bug and tar remover. Use it for quick clean-ups and shine enhancement of the paint, glass, and metals. Simply spray, wipe, and WOW! You've got a clean, shiny, and slick vehicle once again. Dodo Juice Basics of Bling Detailing Spray has the scent of fresh apples to make detailing your vehicle even more enjoyable.

Initial Observations
From the first look, you can tell this product is a thick liquid. You can not see through it like many QD sprays. This told me that it would be a good spray to aid in not causing any micro-maring.

The spray bottle is the fine mist type, which is a great plus. I used a SMALL fraction of the bottle when applying it to the whole car.

Conditions & Subject
  • Subject: Mustang
  • Condition: After wash
  • Tools: Chemical Guys Monster MF Towels
  • Time: Evening, around 6 PM
  • Temp: Cool, around 60 F
  • Wind: N/A

Testing
The spray was applied to the Mustang panel by panel after a full wash and dry. The spray goes on very fine, and when spread around it is very thick, which you can see on the paint. This made me feel confident that I would not causing scratches while buffing... provided my towel was clean.

On the first body panels I used to much. I learned that for a panel such as the fender, 2-3 sprays is all you need.

The panels did have some slickness to them after I was done, indicating that this spray does have some polymer properties.

Conclusion
This spray holds it own. I would say that is a tad below Prima Slick, due to Prima being eaiser to use and adding even more of a polymer barrier. However, this spray does have advantage in terms of price and smell, Lol.

I would reccomend this spray to anyone who wants something better than OC sprays, but not wanting to go all out. At $10 a bottle is a great deal considering you use hardly any for a whole car (2-3 light sprays per panel).

Great review man thanks for sharing. I would keep the spray bottle after I ran out and use it for IPA wipe downs and what not those are good sprayers just remove the sticker from the bottle with some 3M general adhesive remover or non diluted IPA.

Ya that is the plan. Its a great sprayer. The bottle is a little odd shaped and makes using it a little weird however.
