I read everything it said about doing this in the sticky. but yesterday i went to go buy what i needed and couldnt find the f21 tire dressing. Is there something else i could use thats just like it? i would post this in the sticky but im not sure if people still check it. Any help would be appreciated!

I am guessing your talking the dressing part..you can use ALOT of items..Optimum Opti-Bond, Sonus Motor Kote, 303 Aerospace, you really can use any trim dressing. I prefer non silicone based products as the silicone will attract dust.

Yeah, I have used a few different tire foams. Vader is right, silicone will attract dust, but if you keep up with the engine bay, it will stay looking nice.

Try and get your hands on some aerospace 303, it is a great product. You can use it on plastic (dash/interior) rubber (tires, my favorite dressing so far) engine bays, and even leather I've heard. If you can find a boating supply store you might be able to find it, I haven't found a local source around here though. Their website has a find-a-dealer thing on it.

If you can't get f21 or 303 Protectant, I would pick up some Megiuar's Interior Quik Detailer and some Meguiar's Interior Protectant. They will do a very similar job. I wouldn't recommend OTC tire dressings because, like stated, they attract dust.

I use this after getting everything clean: Trim Shine is an easy-to-use, spray-on coating that instantly shines dull or faded plastic, vinyl, and rubber with no wiping or rubbing. Just spray and walk away!

CD2 engine detailer works great and it actually doesnt attract much dust at all like the tire dressings with silicon. Its available locally at autopart stores. I personally use Meguiars Hyper Dressing at 4:1 or 303 Aerospace Protectant.

I wash with an APC and dedicated brushes first then pressure rinse avoiding my K&N FIPK while rinsing. I also avoid wetting the alternator, I just give it a very quick blast for like a second or less to get rid of any dust on it. I then spray on the protectant and then close the hood and turn on the gt and let it idle for about 10 to 15 minutes. After that you open you hood and check it out and its dry to the touch any unevenness can be corrected with a microfiber towel
