Tiger Stripes.

So, many of you know that i painted my bumper. Well, it needs to be finished up since it's still got Tiger Stripes on it. I'm probably going to be going over it with a couple more cans of paint/clear. But, my question is, what should i use on it to make it look shinier once it is all said and done. I want it to kind of flow better with the rest of my car that actually gives a nice shine. I know that i'm not going to get a fantastic shine with rattle canning, but i figure i'd ask around to see if you guys know of anything good to use on it.

A very good wet sanding and use some good compound and polish. Most of the final outcome is what goes in to the prep work before painting.

Also, refer to 101's write up on rattle canning. It's a pretty good write up that might answer a lot of your questions.

Are you doing this from a can or a gun?

I'm fairly certain he'll be rattle-canning it. I'd suggest light coats, plenty of light to see what you're doing, and alternate the angle of attack. Don't go up and down on each coat, go back and forth, up and down etc... vary your strokes with each layer of paint.

Then wet sand it (2000+ grit, use a slightly soapy solution), buy some Meguiars ultimate compound, put that fap hand to good use, and you're done.
