I have pics. He was disappointed but understood. He's got some friends in the body shop business and he's gonna have them do it. He said when its hell probably want me back over to give the roof a wetsanding to help the blend a little more. Just sucks so bad.....

Man that really sucks. So around how much is it going to run you to get that re-sprayed? (or is he paying for it??) Also I suggest you contact Porter Cable and if your still within the 3 year warranty for your PCXP, I would defiantly complain to them and let them know what happened. I bet your asking yourself why couldn't have been on a regular vehicle... it had to crap out on you on an F-430! That just really blows hard man. Well the good thing is he understood and actually is still giving you another chance to work on his vehicle thats a good thing.

Already sent Porter Cable something with pics and details. I have the old PC. I sent them a copy of my receipt from 6/8/09 with the PC on it.

Thats crazy... I don't understand why some people are picky about pics of their cars. I mean, its not like its some goverment kept secret that you can't let get out...

Zinc, I hate this happened man. I am glad it was not worse, which it could have been. Also be happy the owner is not mad. I can see alot of people freaking out on someone for damaging their car. Especially one like that.

No word from Porter Cable as of yet.

Right now the current paint estimate is $500. Easily covered by the price of the detail as I already have 20 hours in to it. The detail since the incident has been 100% free (which was proposed by myself) and obviously nothing less than perfection is acceptable.

Here is something to show what I can do. This is without any waxes. Just pure paint.

Nice work man, sucks that your not going to make anything on it though. I remember when I did the 2011 5.0 GT/CS earlier this year it took me 40+ hours to get it done and it came out amazing, I charged $1,600.00 and was stoked to use that for a vacation... but then all that cash had to go to repairing my GT when it was hit by a truck the day I picked up the check from the dealership.
