GAH. I'm jealous. One of the only super-high-end cars I've worked on was a 2009 Aston Martin DB9, and the damn owner wouldn't even let me take pictures.

Congrats on booking that; I cannot wait to see your work on it.

Nawh, with exotics or higher end cars I do it at the owners place. Unless the owner offers for me to drive, I never ask. I think it'd be disrespectful if I asked to drive it, but I always ask for just a ride.

Yes it'll be a full 3-4 step with possible wetsanding and possible factory wetsanding mark removal. Ferrari's are notorious for it, much more so than Lamborghini's. Both are known for having wetsanding marks, but Ferrari seems to drop the ball more often.

Yup that is so true Farrari finishes are very sub par when compared to many other manufactures you will get alot of pigtails, holograms an sanding scratches directly from Ferrari. It will take a full correction to get that Rosso Corsa to where it need to be, but once its there my GOD they look amazing!

Interesting I am eager to hear about this problem Zinc... did the brushes go out or was it something like the backing plate went flying off and hit the F-430?

My rotary is a pc but I was using the pc 7424 for a pesky curve and saw a small scratch and used the pc 7424 while it was hooked up. The spindle broke loose from the main bearing and destroyed the pair on the roof. Honestly thinking of going after porter cable for making a faulty product.

I hope your insured buddy lol just playing man...but in all seriousness just be honest with the owner and let him know what happened and tell him you will get it fixed by a professional the only thing that sucks is that the money your going to get for the correction is now going to go to the repair
