From what I get out of it you dont really do much cleaning, just get the car warm cover up the alt and hose it off then spray it with simple green and wait 10 min rinse it then the tire shine and wip off and excess.

I wouldn't. Detail spray would be your best bet along with some invisible glass for the blower.

kinda what i was thinking. i know i always want to kick my ass after putting a bag of ice on the blower out at the track. the 2 hours i spend polishing is always a pita. but i really want to find a way to clean the deeper areas in engine bay. otherwise the details spray and what not has done me good. i guess i just put myself up to doing it the hard way with the big shiney thing.

You're probably going to have to wipe that off afterwards. Honestly, the black pieces and painted pieces I like to wipe down afterwards just to prevent water spots....it's not that big of a deal though...like Erin said - less than an hour will have you damn near show ready with this process....

Wow I finally got up the nerve to do this and it looks amazing! This has been nagging at me ever since i bought my car in O7 it looked like a mini tornado went though just my engine dust and dirt were everywhere and I always wanted to clean it and just now have.
The alternator gave me a problem almost made me quit, i found it very difficult to put stuff in that tiny space, finally solved the problem by stuffing 3 grocerybags, 1 in the front and two scrunched up in a ball on the left and right in the little cubby holes there. Oh and I dont own a air compressor or pressure hose, So i used a hose on showerish mode and a leafblower on real low - haha and it worked nothing broke! Overall it looks 1000x better, I would've posted pics but im sure I woulda got flammed for being stock cept i got a K&N air filter! but u cant see that (Sorry i poor cant mod out)

For those that can't find F21 Tire Foam locally (seems some regions just arent carrying it) I found it online, maybe buy in bulk?
