You mean when do you use the actual clay?
You spray the stuff that came with it onto the paint (i'm guessing it came with something, like Mothers and Meguars do) and then rub the clay on the car using the wetness as lube haha or else it would stick to the paint like a mofo. You'll see

Whichever Claybar system you buy, make sure you buy more of the lubricant. After you see the results you'll want to claybar your wheels, etc. There isn't enough to to any more than the car itself!

I did the same thing on my Bullitt and it made a difference and you can really see what is coming off the paint when you inspect the clay after working an area.

most clay bars are used when the car is dry bc they dont want water to be the lubricant...it needs to be the detailer or in ur case the liquid clay bar im guessin
