Quick new paint question
Alright I know your not supposed to wax your car for 6 months after getting new paint. Well what about a paint polish? What exactly should I be doing to take care of the new paint?

Polishes as a general rule are fine. Look on the back of the bottle, if it says it's ok for fresh paints, contains no wax or that it is "paintable" then it will be fine. I generally go with 90 days before waxing although I know some say as little as 60. The Idea is not to trap solvents in the fresh paint by sealing it with wax. I causes the finish to get "cloudy" or milky looking.
