Car cover?

Looking to buy a car cover for this winter and not really sure what to get. The car will be inside the garage so it doesn't need to be water proof/resistant. What are things I should look for? I am looking to spend no more $200. Here are two I found that seemed like they would work.

Same quality? Does it matter really if it is only to keep dust and stuff off the car?

no not same quality. But if it isn't out in the wind. It will keep the dust off good & give some protection from scratches.

i'll be honest, if it was my car and it was staying in my garage, and just for the winter, i would just take an extra bed sheet and throw that over it. lol

Haha walmart it is! The fabric won't be rough and scratch it or anything? Plan is to clean it up real good then throw the cover on it.

This is a good idea if you dont want to buy a cover. Since it will be just sitting in your garage some sheets or blankets would work great. You arent trying to protect it from anything, just trying to keep the dust off.

Cal Car Cover ? Custom Fit Car Covers, Motorcycle Covers, Cleaning Products, Garage Accessories, Collectibles and More

here ya go. they have many different options and price ranges. inside, outside, or both. you can spend a little over a hundred bucks (i think) to almost 500 bucks.

hmmmm i paid 27,000 dollars for my car i don't mind paying a few hundred bucks for a car cover that is warrantied for 4 years.......or is it 5 years, can't remember now. if i were only going to store mine inside i wouldn't have gotten the expensive one, but it is being stored outside right now. my cover is good for either and for all weather types.

177.00 including shipping for the cheap one.

20.00 for my walmart cover works great.

yea, i got mine for 10 bucks at work when they were on sale. If its in the garage, you dont need anything crazy. Just makesure what ever you buy is soft. I wouldnt use a bed sheet, car covers have elastic and really hug under your car, which is nice.

yeah well if your car was going to sit for a year and only be driven for 1 day a month you would want something more than a cheapy also i would hope. that's why i went with one of the best and not walmart. have you ever heard of the saying buy nice or buy twice.

you only drive your car one day a month?

even if my car sat in the garage for the next 5 years, i would have chosen the cover i have now. The only difference between the cheapies and the 10x more expensive ones are the number of layers, what they prevent against, and how well they breath.

Since your car isnt going to be getting wet, snowed on, wind blown or anything besides dust, i cant see spending 200 bucks for a cover that specializes in protection from the elements.

it is out in the elements right now. i'm in iraq and it's at home. at first it was in my brothers garage so i ordered the cover knowing i would need one for both indoors and outdoors. i wanted the best. when i went on leave i took my car back to texas where i don't have a garage and my fiancee uncovers it about once every 2 weeks to let it run and drives it once a month.
