Check Engine Light


im sure this is just a glitch in the electrical system, but i had the diagnostics ran on my '95 and they came back clean, yet the check engine light stays on, how can this be taken care of

gas cap ... sometimes it can make the light turn on

If your CEL is illuminated you are probably thowing some sort of code, I would take it back to have the code re-scanned, if there is no code they should be able to clear it.

if the light stays on, there should be a dtc. either in memory or as a hard-fault. disconnect the neg battery cable for a few minutes and then drive the car and see if the light comes back on.

Can someone help I have a 98 3.8 and the check engine light is on I cheked the codes and is giving me po171 system too lean bank 1 and po174 system too lean bank 2

I already replaced all 4 h02 sensors and did a tune up including new fuel filter but I still get the check engine light even after resetting it will light up after driving it for about 2 or 3 miles

that was what I was afraid off cause maf sensor is expensive and I dont know how to check for a vacuum leak

ok I replaced the MAF sensor and the light stayed off for about 2 days but it all of a suden turned on again.

90% of the time your light comes on its something to do with air polution control. ide suggest checking for vaccum leaks

Well its still giving me a code that reads system too lean bank 2 how do I fix this?
