I looked into this for my cousin... He has a v6 and wanted some more power so i looked into the m90 off the supercoups! the prices are great off ebay and i thought it wouldn't be that big of a deal... from what i found it is able to be done on the v6 and the v8 and i actually found a detailed online installation guide i guess you could say... if you google you should be able to find it or something close... it had a complete list of parts and what had to be done... it is actually pretty complicated and requires a lot of parts to get the setup to work so unless this is just a project car and you have a very good knowledge of engines and the money and time to source all the parts i would recommend another path... a turbo would be easier than a factory supercharger to install and make more power in the end... hope this helps good luck

a few have said it is easier to get a supercoupe motor and sway that in. but with that m90 i think you dont get a whole lot of hp a little bit more torque though, still not worth the work

My 91 supercoupe had the following:

Blower pulley, no cats, dynomax exhaust (the full setup) ported and polished intercooler tubes, underdrive pulleys, aftermarket electric fan, a custom fabricated box for running dry ice on the intercooler (which was good for a single pass at the track), aftermarket ignition coil and wires, and the AOD had a stage 2 shift kit and a 2500 stall converter and a 3.27 gear stock.

My best time on street tires was a 8.98 at 77.94 with a 2.04 60 ft (only an 1/8 mile track around here). That was with dry ice on the intercooler too which was good for usually 3/10ths on a normal day.

I never did get to run it with the drag radials and the good stall converter because when it sheared the output shaft of the transmission with street tires only, I opted to just go with a regular converter so I didnt break things as easily.

Keep in mind my tbird weighed in at 3840 lbs with no one inside (I had it weighed at a truck stop) so just 1 person put it at over 4,000 lbs. Which is alot of mass to accelerate compared to a mustang.

I also had it dynoed but I cant remember how much power it was putting down. I remember it was over 250 hp though. This was back in 96 so I cant quite remember the exact number. Im sure theres someone that can tell you how much hp it had vs the et and mph it ran at the track since we know the weight.

Sadly, back in 98ish the hydraulic master cylinder went out and I ended up selling it to a friend for dirt cheap since I had the mustang as a project car and I was tired of the tbird. I wish I had kept the car now but what can ya do?

Heres a couple pics of my 93 lx mustang and the 91 supercoupe http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1.../Myoldcars.jpg

Anyway, my point is with minimal mods my supercoupe was a beast for a heavy car and it was soo much fun to drive. If that engine was in a lighter car it would have been crazy fun. It would be quite a project to put that engine in a mustang but the result would be so worth it.
