taking out some interior parts


what size bit do i need to unbolt the seats in my 92. from looking at it, it would need a star bit. if i remember correctly when i had to take off my seat belts to get to the inside panel in the back i needed a #9. is that what i would need. and how would i go about taking out the center console. thanks

seat belt bolts should be a T45. The nuts that hold the seat to the floor are either a T45 or a 15mm. i'll see if I can fins some instructions for the console. It's not hard, just a few hidden fasteners

Removal and Installation


Remove two access covers at rear of console (snaps out) to gain access to armrest retaining bolts.
Remove four armrest-to-floor bracket retaining bolts and remove armrest assembly (snaps out of console).


Remove gear shift lever opening finish panel (snaps out). On vehicles equipped with manual transmissions, shift boot is attached to bottom of finish panel. Remove shift knob and slide boot and finish panel up shift lever to remove.
To remove top finish panel, position emergency brake lever in UP position. Remove four retaining screws and lift panel up. Disconnect necessary wire connectors.
Remove two console-to-rear floor bracket retaining screws.
Insert a small screwdriver into two notches at bottom of front upper finish panel and snap out.


There are three combinations of radio cover finish panels:
Radio opening cover plate with stowage bin (radio delete option)
Radio with stowage bin
Radio with graphic equalizer (one unit)
Combination A: Use a small screwdriver and pry radio cover finish panel out of console.
Combinations B and C: The radio must be removed first.
Open glove compartment door and drop glove compartment assembly down. Remove two console-to-instrument panel retaining screws.



Remove four console-to-bracket retaining screws. Remove console from vehicle.
To install, reverse Removal procedure.
