$800 turbo kit
My friend has a 98 bmw 328i and he said he bought a $800 T70 turbo charger kit without the boost controller. Does that sound right to anybody? i thought something had to be wierd about it for that price

That would either have to be secondhand or a cheap ChinaCharger. The quality of ChinaChargers is something of a gamble - I've heard of ones that leaked oil after a couple weeks, and I've also seen them put to good use on a low 10 second / high 9 second drag car. Most of the kits out there are somewhat incomplete.
