Vortech HO power question

2 Weeks ago I put a HO Vortech system on my 08 GT. Stock GT with a Vortech system, their fuel pump (yuck, but it works) their tune. So for the sake of the discussion I'm guessing the car is putting out 462 hp / 420 ft/lbs of torque as advertised.

Every once and a while when I get on the gas the car acts weird. I can't tell if the belt or the clutch is slipping. I guess the clutch because the RPM's rise very quickly but the car dosen't accelerate. Does the Vortech system create enough torque to overcome a completely engaged stock clutch? Sure it has an extra 120 ft/lbs of torque now, but not at 2500 RPM. I would have expected a whipple system to overcome the clutch at that RPM, but I didn't think the Vortech type systems made any extra power in that range. Do they?

Or is the belt just slipping and I need a stronger Ideler pulley? I'd be cheeper than a clutch I guess.

Thanks,
JH

Well thats easy. Its clutch or rear tires.

Belt slipping doesn't show on rpm gauge.

I had a king cobra clutch and at 381 rwhp it started slipping. I have cheap XTD stage 3 6 puck clutch that I only paided 185 for and it's still holding up at 531 rwtq which is over 600 at the motor where Vortech calculates their hp/tq.
