rim sizes
hey everyone, im getting ready to buy rims ( relatively soon that is..)
i have been looking at the black bullits that Atlantic has (but no im not copying, ive been looking at them since before that, he just got there first :wink ) anyway, heres the link - those are 17x9 and 17x10.5 i just want to get opnions on whether 17 is the best size or not. there are 18s (9" up front, 10" in the back) available as well. but most people say that 17 is the ideal size - in terms of tire cost, in terms of drive quality, etc... and are 18s "just too big"? i just wanted to 'confirm' this... if that makes sense.. i would love to see side by side pics of 17s and 18s (in this rim style if possible) |

tires are more affordable for 17" wheels than 18" wheels. and you have a better selection with 17". that is the main reason i chose the 17". plus, more sidewall height. and nobody thinks you are copying art, you are just doing what looks good :wink

i have never seen black chrome before. you would be one of the only people with that wheel that i know of man. looks like some liquid mercury shit. i would see if you could get a sample of it or see it first, but how cool is that- black chrome.

black chrome is cool man, and deep dish mach 1 wheels are cool too. the thing i like most about black wheels is they always look clean, or dirty- depends how you look at it :wink

hehe, yeah.
i found this thread that asks specifically about rims on a true blue (my color) some decent pics, but not making it any easier to decide. maybe if we got SAJ or someone to start chopping the different rim colors on there itd be easier http://forums.modulardepot.com/showt...threadid=35758 hey SAJ get in here!! |

I was looking at those black chrome wheels also. If they came in deep dish I would be set.

Those are beautiful. I so can't afford those right now. If I were you I would go with the black chrome if you have the money to do that. I'm gonna stick with deep dish black bullits though. If you can't decided which ones to get your best bet may be to choose the ones that is more affordable to you.
