turbo bypass from exhaust

Ok here´s the deal.
I have the Livernois 298 stroker block, Hellion 62mm turbo kit plus Brenspeed turbo tune.
Now after installing the rebuilt motor, new oil pump and rebuilding the turbo (with the Turbonetics rebuild pack) I´m still getting heavy oil smoke from the exhaust after runs at WOT when I let off the throttle. It does not smoke unless I pull hard and let the turbo spin.
What me and my mechanic want to do is try to bypass the turbo system by removing the exhaust from the headers so the turbo wont get any air or oil. Then take a short run at WOT and see if it still smokes.
The reason we want to try this is so we can be absolutely sure the turbo is causing the smoke but not things like valve seals or cylinder rings, and I don´t want to start shredding the motor to pieces unless I knowit´s motor related.
Would this be dangerous for the motor with the exhaust bypassed on my current tune? Are there any things I should take in to consideration ?

Nahh we have been scratching our heads trying to figure it out what causes the smoke..
turbo oil drain, pcv valve, valve seals, cylinder rings....endless possibilities

Have you guys pulled the sparkplugs out after a WOT run to see what they look like? That would be the 1st thing I would check.
