Pypes exhaust on 3.8 V6

I just got done installing a Pypes catback system on my 01 Mustang. The install was not a straight bolt on as indicated my the company and instructions.

The "Y" pipe and mufflers went on without any problems. The axel back exhaust pipes were a "slight pain" to install. The car was suspended by a lift. The rear axel had no resistance against it. The pipes just fit through with out having to cut off the hangers and reweld them.

The passanger side went together with little adjustment. On the drivers side, we had to re-bend the pipe, where it goes over the axel. With out a slight re-bend the pipe was resting on the fuel tank and the cross member for the rear suspension.

Other than these minor problems I am pleased with the exhaust system. I would recommend this system to anyone withthe 3.8. The exhaust has a nice deep sound. It also gives the tone of having a V8 under you hood when you get on the throttle.

Heres a pic of the finished install:

im glad you could manage to put it on inspite of the clearance issues. with the turned down tips, that makes a good sleeper look for the car. what else do you have planned for it in the future?

I just ordered a MAC intake for it. I'm still waiting for that. According to the tracking number I have, it should be here this Tuesday the 7th. I was also going to getthese wheels for it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

Let me know what you think of those.

WOW, this is weird... i just happened to click on this thread out for no other reason other than not have read it before... I read the above comment about having another v6 modder on here (which I am of course) , and as I scroll down to say that I am one as well, the "Unofficial Featured Ride" beside the quick reply box just happens to be my car... what are the chances of that happening with all the cars in the garage? Sorry, small things amuse me for some reason

Get one of these X pipes or you can get one of these H pipes and any catback you want.

No you don't need two, but doesn't your body kit have two openings for the exhaust? It would look pretty stupid to have one pipe coming out of a body kit made for dual exhaust.
