tailights not working help please

ok, so i replaced the bulbs, fuses, and taped uo all the wiring in the radio compartment. i do not have a radio so the wires were all loose, so i taped them up with electrical tape. then i repalced the fuses that correspond to all that good stuff. the wiring harness in the trunk looks good along with all the wires themself. any help please.

Check the ground wires in the trunk/hatch area. Use a test light and check for power at the light sockets. If there is no power work your way back to the switch until you find where the break in power is. Wiring problems can be nightmares. Have patience.

i checked the light sockets and the brake wires they give a signal of power, but the wires for the tailights dont. so im guessing i have to work my way through the wires..lol..do you know if the wires go directly through the side panel or does it go dow nthe center under the carpet then break off towards the drivers side. i checked the ground and it gave spark to show that it works. wow this is going to be a PROCESSSSSS..lol
