jb weld

the other day i bottomed out like an a**hole, and i had an oil leak. i would say about a quart a day at least. right now my budget is pretty tight do to some tickets and other misc stuff. i went to auto zone and sen this liquid metal type deal. i was wondering if any of you have ever used this to seal of a slight crack. the front bolt on the pan is pussed in and there is a slight stress crack were the oil is leaking from. so today i drained the oil and im letting it sit over night so no more oil is in it at all. but ive never used a product like this before does it actaully work?

I tried to JB weld a cracked exhaust manifold in my dumber days... eh (didn't work). Stuff works on about anything though so long as there's not too much pressure or heat.

i wouldnt think it would hurt it...you would probly wanna frain all othe oil out first and let the jb weld dry for a few hours untill you refill it with oil

JB Weld is some amazing stuff. Follow the directions and it will work great. I used JB Weld as an emergency repair to a port on an aluminum cylinder head once. It worked so good I never took the head in to be welded, I just left the JB Weld on.

Just got a E-van this weekend someone put an insert in the 5.4 head and they did do it right so it popped out again. Put some JB weld on the insert and let sit overnight. Called the tech line for JB weld and they said it would hold cylinder pressure!! haha. So i put the intake back on and fired it up....guy is still driving it.
