changing top / interior color

Hey guys, i got a black mustang convertible, with a tan top / interior. How hard / expensive would it be to change that to black? I know i can buy a new rooftop in black, but what bout interior? I can get black racing seats up front, so that leaves the back seats, and the carpeting and all the plastic, on the dash and on the doors.

not hard if you just want to take the time to do it and the cost to buy the stuff.

You can also find full tops from people parting out cars, etc. And that's a direct bolt-in if you get the assembly w/ it.

its alot of work, but totally doable. i'd check around with local junkyards and find a wrecked car for most of the plastic stuff...

I have the same dilema.. I bought a 95 GT convertible and it has a new black top on it recently and has the tan leather interior. I wish it was spring so I could go to the local salvage yards and see what I can find to replace tan parts
Good luck in your project !!

Yeah its a real pain the ass - I helped a buddy change the color on an older car and its rather expensive and time consuming - also - you can dye the interior parts and get new seat covers

but the interior will smell like the dye for a few months

Its really not that cost effective unless it really really really bothers you - I'd try to find someone that wants a tan interior and switch with them.
