Header fact or fiction?

I have heard from someone that if I put headers on my 03 GT I'm risking blowing a header gasket everytime I go through water. This sound like a load of BS to me, what do you think? I want to mod my daily driver and don't want to take any chances of losing too much reliability.

it sounds like b.s. to me too. you arent going to blow a gasket just from driving on wet roads. once youve made the install though, make sure to retighten the bolts after a day or two of driving. I also recommend using copper gaskets

what ever cock-smooch told you that is full of B.S. besides, even if you did its not like changing a head gasket. they cost like what, 10-20 bucks....?

Total BS. Besides, when you put new headers on, you will be installing new and better gaskets. Just don't buy long tube headers unless you plan on a S. You will get power loss and dragging pipes.

Doesn't get any better than the Ford exhaust gaskets. So good, in fact, when I put my longtubes on I re-used the factory gaskets as opposed to using the ones that came with the headers. Lasted two years till I pulled the motor, never leaked.
