Octane booster vs race fuel
Namely Torco mach accelarator. I was thinking of running this in addition to my methanol injection or possiblly by itself vs race fuel. If I'm running 110or torco I think it would be over kill to run the meth injection. Also with the torco or racefuel it will give me a little peace of mind over running meth inj on my racetune.

what is your combo? Typically its safer to run race gas and no meth. This is due to the issue with proper distribution of the meth, and the chance of burning a couple pistons while everything else looks great. The torco stuff works pretty well. How much octane do you need? What is your timing and boost?

Generally when octane booster claims it'll raise your octane by a point, they mean 0.1. A lot of the octane booster out there is rather overpriced for what it is. Some of it is just JP5 jet fuel, for example, sold for $5 for a tiny bottle.
One cheap octane booster we've used has been toluene, available at paint stores. A gallon of that retails for about as much as you'd buy two or three itty bitty bottles of most octane booster, and it's more effective than some of the octane boosters out there as well. |

I'm really not sure what oct to run in addition to the n2o. I would feel more comfortable running straight 110 but I've already bought the meth kit and got it hooked up. The reason for the n20 is I have serious lag below3000rpm and is killing me. My turbo is way oversized. It is a frankenstein stage 2 turbo. Awesome top end though. |

Interesting... I will def give it a try when I put it on the dyno. I need to invest in a map sensor to get some boost readings.

you should datalog boost on a turbo setup like that so you can watch for boost creep and spikes. Check out these gauges i sell that can line graph boost. This is egt, but boost works the same.
