or just wait until you can get the kit you really want, it'll cost a bit more but it'll save you a lot of headaches and problems in the end

Theres no need to wait to buy a new kit. Just make sure you know what your suppose to get when you buy a used kit and if something is missing either find another or haggle the price down some.

If you have done any mechanical work before it will be easy. Just follow the directions.

If you have R&R'd an alternator or a PS pump you can install a complete kit in a day or two of work. A centri is easiest IMO, the roots and T/S are a little more involved. Maybe three days for a novice.

I stress COMPLETE kit because I pieced together a used S/C kit over the course of 2 months trolling ebay. First the head unit, then the mount, etc.etc. It did take forever. Used kits are aplenty and offer great value but make sure and check that everything is there. Mounts, bolts, various nick-nacks can take forever to find. I'm posting a guide here on the list soon for those looking to build up a system from components like I did, I'll have it done shortly. It does take time to find parts, so beware.

I bought a used kit that was suppose to have everything and I was missing a spacer and a few bolts, end up costing me an extra $50 to buy them.

That would be very appreciated. Also, maybe include things to watch out for or ask questions about?

I think it has been done before in numerous threads. Do a search before wasting the time to type it all up.
