Looking into a vortech supercharger for my 02 mustang gt... How hard will it be to install? Its a non intercooled setup..something I could do myself at the house?

you can easily do it at your house. hardest part is likely tapping the oil pan or doing the fuel pump. the other stuff is bolt on.

Get a V3 kit. It's internally lubricated, no need to tap in to the oil pan.

I would if I had the extra money ...but could I do that? That way it doesn't have the motors dirty possibly contaminated oil? And more oil than a slef lubricated so hopefuly it runs cooler too

I guess you could do it. I think it would be harder trying to make sure it would work right and finding a location to put it all. Take a look at the p1sc.

Well as much as I wish I could afford procharger I can't... That's the one I really really want lol...but I mean me giving it its own oiling system would be the best thing...I mean the supercharger sucks the oil from the engines pan...I'd be giving it its own pan... And wouldn't be risking getting metal shavings in my motors oil from drilling the holes

you could do that, it would be a mess mounting it and getting a pump and all that for it. tapping the pan isn't that bad and if it were something dangerous they would have made a self contained one long before the v3. there are thousands of vortech's out there, i doubt if it were a big issue they would continue to make them.
prochargers can be foundpretty cheaply anyways if you look. i got my whole setup for $1400

Tapping the pan isnt bad, just make sure you have a conical bit cuz the pan is this a regular bit doesnt work. I know I tried it and almost fucked up my pan! The return line isnt under alot of pressure is you dont have to worry bout it too much. I just drilled mine out and tapped it, i didnt even roll it in at all and it worked great! I got a nice snugs fit with the fitting screwed in.

The Vortech V2 Kits (where you have to tap the oil pan) and the Vortech V3 Kits (where they are self lubricating) are actually the same price.

Oil is fed to the s/c by engine oil pump. To make a separate oil system for the s/c you'd need an electric oil pump to circulate the oil.

the only issue with mine is the return leaks a little bit i had to seal it with jb weld and that seem to do the job but if you can get the v-3 and the loud s/c is cool sounding...

you "could" rig up a standalone oil system but is it really worth the R&D and risk of it not working!? Get a cheap kit -> rig an oil system -> burn up the kit -> start all over. In the long run it could cost you more headache and $$$
Wait a bit more and save a few more bucks then go with a good tested design.

I don't know of a lot of shops that would install a non-intercooled set up. Most guys want the intercooled version. Much safer.

IF your just doin a bolt on system with 8 psi there is no need for an intercooler, Yeah it WOULD be better but you wont have an issue without one. This is why EVERY manufacturer sells non-intercooler base kits.

i completed my entire install in 2 days, drinking beer and taking my time. no problem at all if you got basic tools. the only thing you'll have to buy is a big enough tap for the oil pan, other than that its basic. peace!
