Exhaust Question


does anyone know if cats are required in VA if you have mufflers. I have a leak in my exhaust which is prompting me just replace the whole exhaust and i dont know if i can get off road x pipes and still be legal.

Cats are federally mandated, so yes you need them. Or you can just find a good performance shop that will pass you regardless

Thats what i do. I can just bullshit around with the guy a little bit, and he lets me get an inspection passed. works everytime. but if they dont, i'll just go home put my stock h on, take it back, then take that bitch back off. a lil work but oh well. :/

you think i could get away with gutting them. the kit im looking at is the the pypes cated x pipe on american muscle. i would do that with the bbk shorty headers then i have no clue about the what to do from the cats back

I have the Boom Tube axle backs and love them. Most people don't but its all personal opinion. Check out video clips of different set ups and go to some meets and find out what people are running. We can tell you all day long what we have and what we like, but at the end of the day its your money and your car

i have one more question. if the cat back system is made to fit a 99-04 gt will it fit a v6 with an after market x pipe. like care i pair a pypes cat xpipe for a v6 with a flowmaster american thunder cat back for a gt/mach 1/bullitt?
