Flowmasters on Stock GT Question

I have a 1999 Mustang GT and I put a set of flowmasters on a couple of months back. When my mustang is just sitting idle, they're not as loud as I was hoping they would be, but they sound fine whenever I give the car gas. Is there anything I can do to get my exhaust to sound louder and deeper when idle or at low RPMs? I have a auto transmission, so when I'm driving my car will change gears and make my exhaust quiet again most of the time. I only really hear the exhaust when I'm speeding up or reving, that's about it. Any comments or tips are welcome.

Where can I get my cats removed? Is it something that can be done at home? Sorry I've never done this before, so I'm sort of learning as I go along. Thanks for the reply.

I have a 5.0 auto with all aftermarket exhaust. Unfortunately there is not a lot you can do. The exhaust tone will drop off in the higher gears. That’s just the way autos are.
Your best improvement would be an off road H-pipe for more sound. They go for around $130. But tone will still drop off in the higher gears.

You could go with a catted Prochamber from MAC.

Don't you have to have all four cats in Cali? I'm pretty sure I read that in another post.

i live in cali, and im pretty sure, by law that you cannot take away any visual emissions equipment. meaning if it came with 4 cats, legally it needs to have 4 cats.... but thats not saying that people actually enforce that law. imho as long as you have cats you're good to go.

btw, my cars registered in oklahoma...so o/r x for me.

If you really want to add volume to your stang lose the Flows, get some lore aggresive cams and some LY headers. That will give you all the volume you want.
