Procharger or Vortech

thought about getting a turbo but cant deal with the turbolag.

i hear prochargers come with an intercooler. with forged internals and full bolts on and a 8.8 rear would 8-9PSI be good enough or could i go 14-15 or would that blow up my engine. i want a S/C and i want to keep my car even after 10years . and i hear alot of good things about prochargers . which is a better choice?

The new turbos don't really have the lag that older ones do, but whatever... My vote is for Kenne Bell. Everything you need comes in the kit and you can easily run 9 or 10 PSI on stock internals. Kenne Bells put the least amount of stress on your engine than any other SC. If you want your car for the long haul make the best investment. KB FTW!

its not as much about the psi as the final numbers. and how long it will last depends on the tune, how you drive it, and maintenance.

I plan on keeping my car for a long time too but it hard not to punch it
when you have 12 to 14 psi very handy. My 93 lx sports a Vortech S-trim.
It's very quite. I like "THE ELEMENT OF SURPRISE"!
There are two things I like about the procharger. Where the intercooler is mounted on a mustang or any car for that matter(behind the front bumper). The vortechs intercooler is mounted in the engine bay, from what I've seen. Another thing that is nice about the procharger is self-lubrication.The oil inside the procharger is replaced after 5000 to 6000 miles. The vortech on the other hand uses the oil in your cars oil pan. I change mine every 2500 miles.
I like vortechs trade-in/upgrade policy. When you get ready to make more boost, you can send your head unit in and upgrade to a bigger trim. Planning on doing this next year in the fall.
Sorry if I just made your decision even harder.
Both have there advantages and disadvantages.
I picked the Vortech.

dont forget that the procharger has a 4:10 sep ip ratio so you will see boost sooner with the procharger vs. the other centris

True True 4.10:1 is correct. The votech V-2 (which is what I have) has a 3.6:1 internal step-up ratio, not much sooner than the procharger.
Man, I feel like I'm trying to sell you a Vortech Youngin
