need help with the beater

Ok so the prelude i bought after my mustang got flooded is suffering from a case of riceritis. its had an engine swap, CAI, heads and cat put on as well as a vtech kicked in yo controller. the issue im having is the car will run for a few days at about 180 water temp. its has an after market temp gauge, but every once in a few days it will spike to 195. the oil is brand new almost, the radiator was leaking when i first got it, but i put some stopleak in it as a temp fix till i have the money for a new one. oh and i think the brake master cylinder is jacked up, cause the breaks are spongy as hell. i guess the really question is is 15 degrees hotter bad for the engine.
