New to suspension
Ive got a 2000 3.5 5-speed with dual exhaust, cai, and a chip. After I finish getting my headers on, I want to focus on my suspension. I just want a nice set-up that I can drive on every day. I want some fun this summer, I live near Branson, MO and theres alot of curvy roads that id like to cruise. I want a drop, and a stiffer ride, but not too bad. Ill need springs (I assume) but what else? Do I need to go as far as coil-overs? What are the benifits of springs, struts, and shocks? Id like an Eibach kit, id really like the springs to be painted red. Can I get a nice set-up for $500? I plan on keeping my stock 16 in. wheels and street tires if that matters.

I just installed the Eibach Pro Spring kit on my 06 and it makes a very nice difference both in looks and ride.

How much did it lower it? What all did you need? How much did it cost?

Pro-kit & Sportline kit The pro-kit gives you a 1.5" drop all around The Sportline kit gives you 2" in front and 1.8" in back. In a V6 that should do it, but you could always add a sub-frame connector if you desired.

Springs aren't really that hard to do. Incase you want to save money.

DoI just need springs, or do I need the kit? Do I need the alignment kit also? How about caster, camber plates?

The kit contains the springs and that is all you need.
I did not need an alignment after my springs were installed. |
