you will notice more with the gears/t lok as far as acceleration is concerned. my gears (4.10s) and t lok shaved over .5 seconds from my 1/4 mile e.t., but that is with the mods i have.
i would do both, but the order is up to you.

4:10's and call it a day. And definatly do the 4:10's w/ T-LOCK first.
AtlanticBlue99 what's your ET in your stang? .5 is a good shave man, that seems about right for that car...

it wont rob power. you wont get quite the sma ekick out of it but its stilla hole helluva lit better than stock. you still get the dravablity and still get decent gas mileage. and youll have a higher topend then with the 4.10. i had a s/c 97 cobra 2 yrs agoand it put out 405 hp and only had a top speed of only around 135. it would get there quickly but then it was done! but go with what you want. youll be happy either way. oh yeah are you s/c of n/a. if s/c def go with 3.73 if n/a and an auto go with the 4.10!

id go with 3.73 but you decide what you want to do. with the 4.10 youll get off the clutch and nail it and by the time you barely get on it youll have to shift it again, so its all in the driveabilty you want

i will post a video next week of my breaking my seal on the track at SGMP about 1/3 way down track and you can see a haze of smoke from the tranny fluid itting my H pipe. 4.10s are bad for interstate. i am at 3300 rpms at 70 mph, and it was at this speed that i spun my driveshaft seal out of the transmission.

I have a roots style blower. I went with 3.73s, I'm glad I did not go with 4.10s

You will not notice a difference in performance between 3.73 and 4.10 gears. Mileage will be better with 3.73s and acceleration will be almost identical. I swapped 3.55 gears out for 4.10s in my 91 GT that ran 11.50s and only gained a bit over a tenth. So my recomendation is 3.73s.

hey, i am capable of a mid 14 second pass with a great track like SGMP with a properly working tranny. Adam, with all my mods but 3.73's instead of my 4.10s ran a 14.7 @ 95 mph... And including mods and purchase price, etc., my car is under 10K bucks :award
I'm using this as a learning tool for some bigger stuff in the future. I really like being able to work on my car and learn stuff about it too
