Question

Airflow Dynamics of different intakes

Hey guys-
I'm hoping there is a CFM expert on here that can help me make sense of this:
I'm looking at two possible combinations for a KB 2.1 blower intake system on a stock-block 2v.
Both would use an 80mm MAF(stock) and a 75mm TB. What I want to know is which scenario is better for airflow performance?

1.) A 100mm tube from filter to MAF(80mm) > 100mm tube from MAF to TB(75mm). This is similar to a JLT type CAI, and has the most volume potential in the intake, however, the abrupt kneck-downs at the MAF and TB makes me think it might not be the smoothest FLOW.

2.) A 100mm tube from filter to MAF(80mm) > 77mm tube from MAF to TB(75mm). This one is like the Tunable Induction type CAI, and has a decreasing I.D. stepped at each compnent up to the S/C. I'm wondering if this would be smoother then the first one and actaully make better velocity/torque?

The KB would be pullied at 9psi and both filter elements draw from the fender well. None of the pieces have been bought yet, if there is a better combination I'm open to it as well.

Thanks-
