h-pipe question

i want to get an h-pipe for my 00' v6 but dont know which one to get

im looking for perfomance and quality but not too expensive. it also needs to be emissions legal CA)

choices
- custom h-pipe adapter
keeps my stock cats, don't know from where to buy and if there just as good
- brand name(mac/ps/bbk) h-pipe
mandrel bent, dont know which one will fit, i think it will leave me with just 2 cats

whats the best choice?

h-pipe

get the h-pipe from macperformance.com then flow 40s sound best IMO get it for shorttube headers/stock manifold because you dont have Longtubes and they arent emmissions illegal in your state so to sum it up

H-pipe-macperformance.com, get high flow cats

Flowtubes-macperformance.com

flowmaster 40s offset inlet and offset outlet 2.5 inch-lmperformance.com

it'll be about a good amount of money since you need to buy cats

Longtube headers aren't legal in CA? Dangit, I was looking into exhaust systems too and I heard longtubes were better...

exhaust

the cheapest option would be go to an exhaust or muffler shop, have them cut the exhaust off after the cats and run true duals and go without the H pipe to flow 40s, but an h-pipe balances out the exhaust pulses, an h-pipe or x-pipe doesnt do as much on a v6 compared to an 8(duh) but there not as important on a 6, i think it might be northeast northwest or northcoast performance.com ill get the site name in a min that offers an adapter kit so you can hake the merge point on the y-pipe and clamp this peice in and itll be like an h pipe ill put the site up thnen

site

www.nthcoast.com/V6.html

its all the way on the bottom not sure if thats what it is thu

actually......not sure about this at all but you might be able to cut off before you y-pipe runs into a Y and clamp on a offroad H pipe on to the left over two pipes that come down from you headers and u'd still have ur cats NOT ENCOURGING THIS AT ALL just sayin it might work
... ...
... ...
... ...
......... <--cut off here put off road h pipe on
.....

No one makes a emissions H-pipe for the v6. Go to a muffler shop have them put in a crossover pipe in Cali thats gonna be your best bet.
