i think he's refering to the kit were you cut the y-pipe before it forms the Y pipe and run true duels OR....

just an exhaust cutout that goes on the y-pipe u know u filp a switch and the loud pedal becomes even louder

its not y-pipe specific its call an exhaust cut-out you hit a button and a metal disc flips and makes it run open instead of thru the mufflers

its nice to have when someone pulls up next to u because it gets loud, if you put it before the car it'll be ridicosally loud and without an upgrade of headers it will sound pretty DAMN ricey after the cats it doesnt sound COMPLETELY shitty i think one with an electric switch is like 350 out of jegs ill look it up i dont remember exatly or u can get a manuel one that u have to go under the car or one where u pull a string, technacally u can put one on a y-pipe but if u ever get duals u need two check jegs.com or summitracing.com, they dont take long to install but u need to fit it into ur exhaust, message me if u need help with an install

they make electric ones contoled by a switch you mount inside the car,the switch opens and closes it, i was looking at one a while back for my truck. i dont remember where or how much, ill see if i can find the one i was looking at

couldnt you acually loose horsepower due to the lack of back pressure.

if you lose back pressure you lose torque and gain hp
