Cutting X pipe

The exhaust Im getting comes with an off road x pipe. If I decided to put long tube headers on my car, could I cut a section of the x pipe out and weld it back together and it still work the same way?

should but if you have the option go with an H-pipe on the v6 especially if your doing headers.

it'll work, an x-pipe sounds good on a v6 as long as you dont go with straight thru mufflers, on an 8 x pipe and straight thrus sound wicked on a v6 if your getting like 40s or MAC it'll sound pretty damn good but dont get straight thrus with an x like magnapacks, go with an h for them

I was gooing to get that Pypes "the Beast" exhaust cause it sounds decent and is cheep. Because I dont know how long i'm going to have this car.

Pypes does not sound good on a sixer. I don't recommend them at all.

Mac exhaust sound best on a V6.

MAC or flows sound the best. I like flowmaster better than mac they aren't quite as hollow
