Tire size and fit with 18x10.5"

got a 2000 gt with 18x10.5 on the rear. Now they are TT 2's and I had 295's on there and they rubbed inside edge of the outside fender. Now I hear no other stangs have this problem ? I have bbk lowering coils so im thinking I need stiffer coils to stop all the travel or roll the inside edge of the fenders , to get the clearance to fit the 295's in there.

So what do you guys think. Lemme know ur suggestions
