HOW DO YOU CLEAN YOUR EXHAUST TIPS?


What does everyone use to clean there exhaust tips? I have some black stains on my exhaust tips. What is the best thing to use to clean them?

To get those black spots off you are going to need bug and tar remover. Whatever got on there your exhaust burned it to the pipe. Once you get it nice and clean, put a couple coats of wax on it to give it a protective layer. I heard the mother's power ball works well for exhaust tips.

i dont know what got on there either? I didnt see anyone answer so I happen to try MR. Clean magic eraser, couldnt believe it but it worked. I had some in the kitchen and thought why the hell not.

i have mothers chrome polish for my rims and was going to use that. i just needed something to get the black stuff of. like i said mr. clean magic eraser, worked so good i just went and bought some more. this time i bought extra strenght. it helped get rid of all the dirt so i can use the wax.

I was going to say, make sure you re-wax it because that Mr. Clean could be eating the finish.

get some waxed cotten, its great on wheels and tips and it leaves a thin layer of wax so they will always be easy to clean

LoL i've had my can of neverdull for almost 2 years now! & i only have to polish my chrome wheels & tips with it about once a month.. thats all they need & they usually stay clean after that..
